Short series #1.2

                                         Shadaj Geeta.
#After carefully listening to Vidvaan Vidhur who spoke on Dharma and Arjuna's thoughts on Artha, Madri's sons and Arjuna's younger brothers Nakul and Sahadev who had great knowledge about Dharma and Artha said in following manner -.                                                                                                                                      Nakul-Sahadev said " Every human should always , in every action of his should think of earning and maintaining his Dhana (wealth) , through small or greater risks and plans one should always look forward to earn. Wealth is most loved and hard to find but once found then that person can fulfill all his wishes - this is truly seen in the world by everyone, there is no doubt in it. We think that wealth accompanying Dharma and Dharma accompanying wealth is like Ambrosia and is of greatest virtue."                                                                                                 यो अर्थो धर्मेण संयुक्तो धर्मो यश्चार्थसंयुतः ।                                     तद्धि त्वं अमृतसंवादं तस्माद् ऐतौ मताविह ।।२४।।                        Then they said " A poor person cannot fulfill his wishes, and those who lack Dharma how can they earn? A person who earns without Dharma(truth) he is the most poorer, would spend sleepless nights just as a watchman who guards at night , same way guards his money without enjoying it. Surrounded by greed, anger, lust and uses money the way he sees fit. So we say that a person's first priority should be Dharma by controlling his unstable mind , then achieve Dhana (wealth) gained with truth because a person becomes trustworthy and liked by many when he follows Dharma. And when he is liked by everyone then automatically through people all his wishes are fulfilled! Hence we finally conclude that a human should first follow Dharma (truth) then should gather wealth which is accompanied by Dharma ,then keeping both in mind and behavior one should fulfill Kama (desires). Hence in this orderly fashion one should attain Dharma, Artha and Kama is order to lead a beautiful and peaceful life." Thus after saying this it was Bheem's turn to speak who was listening to his brother's patiently and understanding a great deal. He said-                                                " नाकामः काम यत् अर्थं नाकामो धर्मम् ईच्छति ।.                              नाकामः कामयानोआस्ति  तस्मात् कामो विशिष्यते।।२९।।    " My king , the one who has no Kama ( desire) at all , has no desire to earn wealth and even no desire to follow Dharma. Also even he has no sexual desire or love for his women. That's why desire is better than both wealth and Dharma. Every action starts with a desire like the sages who eat roots and leaves , breaths air and lives for years by controlling their minds with patience have desire to do so. Only through desire one learns scriptures, science, Veda , Upvedas and become great intellectuals. Only through desire one has faith, yajna , Donations , and enters marriage. Traders, farmers, business men, priests, and all other professionals work only because they desire to do so.                                        " कामो हि विविध आकारः सर्व कामेन सन्ततम् ।।३३।।"                Desire has various forms and every action is initiated by desire."                                                                   Further he says " Every living thing has desire, there exists no living thing which has no desire , nor such a thing existed in the past ,nor will it exist in future to come. So I say that the purpose of life is desire as it fulfills Artha and Dharma as well. Just as butter is the essence of curd so is Kama (desire) is essence of Artha and Dharma. Similarly just as oil obtained from a flower is greater in functionality than the flower itself so is Kama greater than Artha and Dharma..... Kama is the reason of Dharma and Artha , so I say Kama itself is Dharma and has meaning. My king in order for our world to progress and survive we should be with women/man of our choice and let flow our desire to be happy. I have deeply pondered over these thoughts and came to this conclusion which is acceptable even to highly educated. Hence I conclude that the person who follows only one of Dharma,Artha,Kaam is unfortunate and who follows two of these is fortunate and the one who balance's all three is bestowed upon with greatness."                                                                                King Yudishtir then thought over the words of his brother's and his uncle Vidhur for approximately two ghadi's that's 48 minutes ( 1ghadi=24 mins), smiled and said the ultimate thoughts which are still true to this day......... Nxt blog we will see the Ultimate Truth which defines our purpose in life and how knowledge of this truth helps people to overcome obstacles and live life to fullest and fulfill its ultimate goal!
